God loves us and wants what is best for us. He doesn’t want us to run off into the ditches of our own sin. He wants to protect and guide us through this foreign and dangerous land, even when it hurts our feelings.
Compromise is extremely concerning when it comes to the walk of a Christian and the body of believers. The path of compromise begins with subtle movements away from biblical truth which offends us and is reinforced through the approval of man.
This drive to become morally and spiritually neutral has left the church weak and easily driven by the emotions, threats, trends and whims of the world. Instead of being transformed and not of this world, we don’t look any different than the rest of this decaying land.
Scar tissue is hardened dead tissue. The same is true when we don’t respond to God’s convicting moments. We harden in those areas. The good news is our God can take what is dead and bring it back to life.
Cast off the snares and weights of sin, train your spiritual body to submit to the Father’s will, find fellow runners to support one another and find strength in His Word.
Each time we reward ourselves with escapes into the fantasy world of sexual sin, we shift away from Christ’s yoke and add another level to the idol’s construction.
When our pain is minimized or maximized, then Satan lies in wait to sell us the quick fix and instant feel good escape of the fantasy world of sexual sin.
